Your Produce to Their Table, Their Fields to Your Family

Putting a name to a face—and a potato

We encourage direct contact between producer and consumer because we know this increases understanding of local food economy issues. We want to provide the greatest possible varieties of local foods while working together in a cooperative atmosphere to ensure the success of the market.

Farm to Family Fund

Expanding access to as many as possible

Making healthful food more available to low-income households is one of the top priorities of the Winter Market. We work with farmers, local agencies, and government programs—and support our local, sustainable food systems and farmers along the way.

We partner with the Farm to Family Fund to double SNAP benefits up to $18 a week. In addition, Farm to Family Fund, an independent 501(3)(c) organization, buys produce from our farmers who take the risk of producing food during the winter months. At the close of the market, Farm to Family Fund purchases food that farmers wish to sell at half price to donate directly to The Rise, Community Kitchen, and Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard.
